Background Information
Since its inception in 1995, DeArmey Consulting has performed engagements for Stanford Health Services, Gould Medical Foundation and the University of California at San Francisco.
The Stanford Health Services engagement included management of the patient business office IDX Systems Department, IDX version upgrade and installation of the Front Desk functionality (Check In and Check Out). We also successfully streamlined the IDX system to reflect changing operational and reporting functionality.
For Gould Medical Foundation, we created a complete simulation plan and developed simulation materials for 150 staff to thoroughly test their initial installation of IDX Billing and Accounts Receivable (BAR), Scheduling and Managed Care applications and front desk procedures. In a subsequent engagement, we performed a review of the charge capture process and identified procedural changes necessary to assure timely and complete charge capture.
At the University of California San Francisco, DeArmey Consulting assisted in the design of their BAR 8.0 application, including interface requirements for ancillary charge processing, dictionary and fee schedule structure, rejection subsystem implementation, and integration of visit management features into the insurance management system.
